Eight hundred year old remains of the octagonal chapterhouse at Thornton Abbey in Lincolnshire. Very similar to this shot – I can’t really choose between them.

I prefer the angle, which seems more dynamic, and the black and white … naturally

Glorious picture. I’m going to have to go and find Thornton Abbey, I didn’t know North Lincs had anything like this.

Beautiful image! I have visited Thornton Abbey, but would like to go back. It’s been a year and since then my photography skills have improved, so I’d like to give it another go. Your series of the abbey sure motivate me
