Matchless

Matchless from duncmc via flickr.
A view of Hull’s KC Stadium from the empty “Executive Car Park” to the south. This was taken with my new polarising filter, which I picked up from fellow flickr member altitudezero at a recent meet.

Great shot Dunc! Is it the polarising filter that gives the sky that darker look? If it is then I need to get one! great effect!

What lens have you used for this shot Dunc? I love the perspective.

I am so glad it is coming in useful. Looking forward to seeing something shot on a cloudy day…

Steve – yes it’s the polariser, although I will have nudged up the saturation and contrast a little when converting from RAW. Compare to the shot below which was taken on the same occasion, but different lens with no polariser.
Mike – The lens I used is the Canon EF-S 10-22mm right down at the 10mm end. My favourite lens by far.
Jon – Cheers - It’s been a while!

The painted lines going horizontally are quite effective here.
