There isn’t much happening in the way of inspiration at the moment so here’s one from the archive. One of my most popular photos on flickr, depsite the mundane subject matter. This is the footbridge near the Daltry Street flyover on the Clive Sullivan Way in Hull. The blurring may not to be everyone’s taste but it was required to give more focus to the subject.

This renders dynamism really well. Love the “post-blurring” of the background and the tones are nice. Congrats on the Weekly pic-k, btw! (I think I’ll subscribe to your feed)

Always liked this photo of your dunc- don’t know why I’ve never commented on it. Great bit of strategic blurring, really adds to the shot. Like teh black and white too as the shot has strong lines.

I’m not surprised that this photo is so popular - its wonderfully composed and very dynamic!
