It’s Very Easy To Be Cold

It’s Very Easy To Be Cold from duncmc via flickr.
Got up and out early on Sunday morning to catch the sunrise over Beverley Westwood. The light wasn’t as inspiring as we had hoped it might be, but I managed to get two or three shots that were worthwhile. This was one of the first I took, just before the sun came up.
The nice people at VFXY have selected my blog as their Weekly Pic-k, which I’m chuffed to bits about. As a result I will try to post regularly over the next seven days.
Oh, and thanks to JC for the loan of his Sigma 10-20mm for the weekend. Cheers mate!

That’s a great shot. I liike the gradient of colours in the sky set against the silhouette of the tree.

Great colours. I like how you can just see the mill peeping over the horizon

Grand shot dunc. It’s given me another shove to get my backside in gear at dawn but I’ll wait a few weeks till it’s at a more acceptable hour I think .

Love how you composed the image. Interesting, it looks like there is wind from right to left due to the compression of the leaves on the right side of the tree

This is so serene and the colors are really powerful but in an understated way.
