What Lies Beneath

Walk upriver along the Humber bank for about a mile from Brough Haven and in the tidal zone there is a series of pools where water collects. This is one of them. Despite how clear the water looks, the bed of the pool is very soft and very muddy (and is easily disturbed by stick-throwing children just as the shutter is about to be released).

Very nice. You chose well on your depth of field and the cloud reflections over the muddy river bottom is very pleasing. You had some great clouds to work with. If you added the highlights in post processing, you did a great job.

Glad to see your website up and running. Looks great!
I like this image. Looks cracking as it is though I can’t help but wonder what difference a polarizer would have made?

Why is it when you want people in shot they scatter out of the way of your lens, and when you don’t want them in shot…
Excellent composition and capture of the light.
